AAAIM Wraps Up a Busy Month of Activities & Initiatives Honoring AAPI Heritage Month & The Power of Allyship

AAPI Heritage Week was established by US Congress in 1977. Thanks to the leadership of Representatives Frank Horton (NY) and Norman Mineta (CA) and Senators Daniel Inouye and Stark Matsunaga from Hawaii, the week long celebration of AAPI contributions and accomplishments was established. Congressman Frank Horton, a white male born in Texas and educated in Louisiana, was a major driver behind making the week long celebration possible — a reminder that the power of Allyship is critical to making lasting change possible.


New AAAIM Study: AAPIs See 50% Career Attrition From Entry Level to Senior Level Positions in Asset Management

A new study released by AAAIM, in partnership with Bella Private Markets, analyzes Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) career attrition and female representation in Asset Management. Like other diverse communities, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) face structural barriers in career advancement, resulting in exclusion when moving up into leadership positions at asset management firms.
