The theme of our 2024 Elevate Conference, Driving Impact – Generating Alpha, highlighted the remarkable contributions of AAPI professionals and managers to the investment industry. This focus on impact and performance shaped much of AAAIM’s work throughout the year. Highlights included a groundbreaking study conducted with Professor Josh Lerner of Bella Research on the Emerging Managers program’s lack of impact on AAPI GPs despite superior performance, the launch of our diverse manager directory, and exclusive gatherings around the country (and Canada) that facilitated LPs and GPs coming together to discuss broadening access for new managers.

In a recent episode of AAAIM High ELI, we’re lucky to have special guest Vishal Bhutani, Chief Investment Officer of AMS Children’s Fund (AMS), a new fund launching in early 2025. Together with David Gaynes, Vishal is forming AMS to capitalize on the growing interest by institutional investors in the Indian equity markets.
