Position Summary

The UC Investments Private Equity Team manages a $12 billion portfolio that is expected to grow significantly over the coming years. The Investment Associate will be responsible for supporting the Managing Director and Private Equity team in the execution of primary fund commitments and co-investments on a global basis. The role emphasizes quantitative analysis of investment opportunities, portfolio analytics and monitoring, and industry research.

UC Investments is a small team that believes strongly in collaboration. In addition to supporting the Private Equity team, the Investment Associate will collaborate with colleagues across our private and public markets teams.


Department Overview

The Office of the Chief Investment Officer (UC Investments) (also referred to as the OCIO) is responsible for managing the University of California’s endowment, retirement, working capital and cash assets under the policies, guidelines and performance benchmarks established by the Board of Regents.

The UC Investments’ team oversees the investment, operations, risk management, performance reporting, and administrative functions of the Office. Senior Investment Analysts are part of the Investments team, which is responsible for producing attractive risk-adjusted returns for UC Investments’ portfolios through superior investment selection, portfolio construction, and risk management. The Investments team is organized by asset class, including Public Equities, Fixed Income, Absolute Return, Private Equity, Real Estate and Real Assets.

The Real Estate program’s objective is to provide attractive risk-adjusted returns to UC Investments’ portfolios over the long term. The Real Estate team invests in and manages a diversified, global portfolio of commingled real estate funds, co-investments, and direct investments in properties.
