Peter Braffman
Managing Director, Head of Real Estate, GCM Grosvenor
Mr. Braffman is a member of the Real Assets Investment Committee and the Infrastructure Advantage Investment Committee. He leads the firm’s real estate practice and is responsible for managing investment activities, product development, and growth. Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Mr. Braffman was a Senior Vice President at Zurich Alternative Asset Management, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing U.S.-based real estate investments. Prior to joining ZAAM, Mr. Braffman was a Vice President in the Merger and Strategic Advisory Group at Goldman Sachs, where he advised corporate clients on structured real estate acquisitions, monetizations and dispositions. Carl Chang

Freedman began her career as an operator at technology start-ups Molecular (acquired by Isobar) and Account4.com (acquired by Lawson) where she spent seven years helping Fortune 500 companies define their strategies and transform their businesses for digital transformation. Constance initially began her career as a top performer selling and leasing real estate in Boston.
Constance has been the recipient of several prestigious awards including Crain’s Business 40 under 40, Crain’s Chicago Top Tech 50 (3x), Swanopoel’s Power 200 and Inman’s Top 101 in Real Estate. Constance is frequently an invited keynote speaker at nationally and internationally renowned venture industry, real estate and fintech conferences.
Constance is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), is a Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and is a Board Member for Illinois Venture Capital Association (IVCA). She previously served on the Advisory Board for the National Venture Capital Association’s (NVCA) Corporate Venturing Group, was on the board of overseers for the non-profit, From the Top, and the advisory panel for Fannie Mae’s Sustainable Communities Innovation Challenge.
Constance earned a BS from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Shoaib Khan
Director and Chief Investment Officer, New Jersey Division of Investment
As Director and Chief Investment Officer, Shoaib Khan is responsible for the investments and overall operations of the New Jersey Division of Investment. The Division of Investment is responsible for the investment oversight of the State of New Jersey’s pension funds, directly managing assets of approximately $80 billion as of April 30, 2024 and supports the retirement plans of over 800,000 members. The Division of Investment also manages the State of New Jersey’s Cash Management Fund with assets of approximately $40 billion as of April 30, 2024.
Mr. Khan joined the Division of Investment in January 2021 as Deputy Director and Deputy Chief Investment Officer. In June 2021, he assumed the role of Acting Director and in May 2022, was sworn in as Director and Chief Investment Officer. Throughout his career, Mr. Khan has served in numerous senior management positions at both public and private investment institutions domestically and around the globe.
Prior to joining the Division of Investment, Mr. Khan served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Florida State Board of Administration in Tallahassee, Florida. He has also previously served as Global Head of Portfolio Management at Union Bancaire Privee (UBP) in Geneva, Switzerland and Strategy Head at J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management in New York. Mr. Khan holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Florida International University and received a Masters of Accounting from Nova Southeastern University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a CPA.

Eunice McHugh
Director of Private Credit, San Francisco Employees' Retirement System
Eunice McHugh is the Director of Private Credit at San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (“SFERS”). She is responsible for the buildout, management, and portfolio construction efforts of SFERS’ Private Credit portfolio, which she has grown to a ~9% allocation today. Eunice is also responsible for the leadership and management of SFERS’ Private Credit Team. She leads the sourcing and underwriting efforts for multiple alternative credit strategies including direct lending, asset-based and real assets lending, mezzanine, credit opportunities, distressed/special situations, and specialty finance across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. She has led SFERS’ Private Credit efforts (initially as part of the Fixed Income portfolio) since she joined SFERS in early 2013. Before her current role, Eunice led and managed SFERS’ Public Fixed Income portfolio. Prior to that, she worked at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers.

Paul Chai
CIO, Kansas State University Foundation
Paul Chai, CFA, CAIA, is the Chief Investment Officer at the Kansas State University Foundation, managing about $1.2 billion of investable assets for the university. Chai joined the Foundation in 2018 as Director of Investments after 11 years as a senior investment partner at Grandway Asset Management in Los Angeles. Earlier in his career, Chai had worked at Pratt & Whitney and TSMC in various engineering and consulting roles. Chai grew up in Taiwan and moved to the US at age 14. He graduated from MIT and Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business and was part of the Leadership Kansas Class of 2022.

Charlie Lee
Creator, Litecoin
Charlie Lee is the creator of Litecoin and Director of the Litecoin Foundation. He attended MIT where he graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to creating Litecoin, Charlie was a Software Engineer at Google. In 2011, he created Litecoin in an effort to improve upon Bitcoin’s high fees, slower transaction times, and scalability issues. Charlie went on to work for Coinbase where he became Director of Engineering before leaving the company in 2017 to focus on supporting the development of Litecoin full time.

Sylvia Owens
Partner, Kennedy Lewis
Sylvia Owens joined Kennedy Lewis in 2021 and is a Partner focused on the Firm’s business development and investor relations activities. Ms. Owens was formerly a Managing Director and Global Private Credit and Real Assets Strategist with Aksia, a specialty investment consultant. In her role at Aksia, she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of private credit and real assets portfolios across a global base of LPs, and advised investors with respect to portfolio construction, investment selection, pacing, risk and tactical plans.
Ms. Owens has partnered with prominent industry organizations to increase awareness of private credit as an asset class, including spearheading the development of Institutional Limited Partners Association’s (ILPA) Private Credit Specialist Series, where she was one of the lead instructors for the course.
Prior to joining Aksia, Ms. Owens spent nearly a decade in the private markets space, working with both investors and GPs across private equity, real assets, and private credit selection and positioning. She began her career at Goldman Sachs in Chicago, where she oversaw the Midwest Convertibles business and then moved to New York to co-lead the institutional synthetics convertibles business.
Ms. Owens graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Economics and East Asian Studies and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Han Yik
Senior Advisor to the ED/CIO, NYSTRS
Han Yik is the Senior Advisor to the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS). He is a member of NYSTRS’ Executive Leadership team and is responsible for leading NYSTRS’ initiatives on stewardship and sustainability and its integration and implementation across the portfolio. In addition, he is responsible for managing the strategic asset allocation process.
Han was formerly the Head of Institutional Investors at the World Economic Forum, where he worked with the senior leadership of the world’s largest asset owners and led the Forum’s initiative on the global pension crisis. Han began his career as an actuarial consultant at Towers Perrin and Mercer, before joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Senior Institutional Portfolio Strategist and Head of Institutional Thought Leadership, where he managed $2 billion in assets as an OCIO for institutional clients. Han earned his B.S. in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Operations Research from Yale University, where he won the Benjamin F. Barge Prize for Excellence in Mathematics.

Tiffanie Wong
SVP and Director of Global and US Investment-Grade Credit, AllianceBernstein
Tiffanie Wong is a Senior Vice President and Director of Global & US Investment-Grade Credit, responsible for the management and strategy implementation of the firm’s Global & US Investment-Grade Credit portfolios, including total-return and income-oriented credit strategies for institutional and retail clients. She has worked closely with AB’s Quantitative Research team to leverage the firm’s technology innovations within fixed-income trading and research to apply a more systematic approach to AB’s credit investing. Wong also serves as Director of Fixed Income Responsible Investing Portfolio Management. In this role, she is part of the leadership team that develops responsible investment strategy across AB’s Fixed Income business, particularly related to integrating environmental, social and governance considerations throughout the team’s portfolio construction processes and overseeing management of several of the team’s sustainable strategies. Prior to joining AB’s Fixed Income portfolio-management team, Wong served as an associate portfolio manager on the Credit team, focusing on various strategies for the Global and US Credit portfolios—including total return, buy and hold, and liability matching. Before joining AB in 2012, she was a fixed-income portfolio analyst and trader at Segall Bryant & Hamill and a fixed-income portfolio associate at Wells Capital Management. Wong holds a BA in economics with a minor in business institutions from Northwestern University and is a CFA charterholder. Location: New York

Gaurav Vasisht
Executive Director and CEO, New York State Insurance Fund
Gaurav Vasisht is the Executive Director and CEO of the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF), one of largest workers’ compensation, disability, and paid family leave insurers in the United States. Gaurav is responsible for NYSIF’s overall strategic direction and operation, including oversight of its approximately 2,000-employee workforce and $21 billion investment portfolio.
Gaurav is the first person of Asian descent to lead the organization in its 110-year history. He is also the chair and appointee of Governor Kathy Hochul to New York’s inaugural Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) commission, tasked with advising the Governor on policies to promote the welfare of New York’s AAPI community.
Gaurav joined NYSIF after more than six years at the Volcker Alliance, a non-partisan think tank established by former Federal Reserve Chair Paul A. Volcker. Gaurav directed the Alliance’s financial regulation program, advising Chair Volcker and other board members on financial system stability and regulatory matters and promoting the organization’s policy priorities before the federal government. Gaurav also served as Chair Volcker’s liaison to the Systemic Risk Council, a private-sector body of experts committed to addressing structural issues relating to global systemic risk. Gaurav has testified before Congress on financial stability matters, presented before the G20’s Financial Stability Board on the effectiveness of Too-Big-To-Fail reforms, and worked on pioneering initiatives covered in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times.
Before joining the Alliance, Gaurav spent a decade in New York State government. Most recently, he served as Executive Deputy Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services, heading the agency’s Banking Division. He previously served as Senior Deputy Superintendent of Insurance, First Assistant Counsel and Assistant Counsel to three New York Governors, and as Assistant Attorney General in the Investor Protection Bureau of the New York Attorney General’s Office.

Sophia Tsai
Managing Director, Investments, Trinity Church Wall Street
Sophia Tsai is Managing Director of Investments at Trinity Church Wall Street, a $7 billion endowment that invests globally. Tsai has more than twenty-five years of experience in asset allocation, manager selection and direct investing across alternative and traditional asset classes. Prior to joining Trinity Church Wall Street in 2017, Tsai co-led the hedge fund program and managed private equity investments for GE Pension in the US. Sophia holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and the University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong. She also received a BBA in Accounting from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Kirk Sims
Managing Director of Emerging Managers Program, TRS Investment Management Division
Kirk Sims heads TRS’ Emerging Manager Program. Since being established in 2005, TRS has committed $5.9 billion to one of the largest programs of its kind. An additional $4.6 billion has been invested directly with EM Program graduates. Each graduate was selected as a result of consistent outperformance among a group of more than 218 EM managers.
Sims joined the Teacher Retirement System of Texas on March 1, 2019. Before joining Texas Teachers, he was a Senior Investment Officer for the Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois. Sims had oversight and management responsibility of TRS’s Emerging Manager Program, a $750 million evergreen pool of capital designed to identify and invest in emerging investment managers across all asset classes.
Prior, Sims worked at Prudential Retirement where he was responsible for a manager of manager’s retirement platform as well as an open architecture investment platform. He also has a background in asset management and has held various positions with both large and small asset managers.
Sims is a CFA charter holder and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University in Washington, DC.

Melissa Ma

Melissa J. Ma is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Asia Alternatives. She splits her time between Asia Alternatives’ Hong Kong and San Francisco offices. Ms. Ma is on the Firm’s Investment Committee and co-leads Asia Alternatives’ investments in secondaries, buyouts and direct co-investments. In addition, she oversees investor relations, asset allocation and investment strategy and process.
Prior to launching Asia Alternatives, Ms. Ma was a Director at H&F, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. She was involved with sourcing and monitoring H&F’s investments in financial and professional services. She helped manage H&F’s relationships with its investors and had a leading role in its fundraising activities.
Previously, Ms. Ma worked at McKinsey & Co., Inc. in the Hong Kong and San Francisco offices. From 1995-2000, she worked in the Hong Kong office of McKinsey in the Corporate Finance Practice and the Financial Institutions Practice. Ms. Ma was also a Financial Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Ida previously held leadership roles at Citi across North America and New York, and she founded both the Asian Clients Group and the Fashion, Retail & Media Group. Tony Lee

Tony Lee is a co-founder and Managing Partner of One Rock Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to founding One Rock, Mr. Lee was a Managing Director at Ripplewood Holdings. Mr. Lee joined Ripplewood in 1997 and was responsible for Ripplewood’s efforts in the global chemicals and industrial sectors. Kevin Lam

Eric Kim

Prior to WhiteOak, Prashant spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) where he was the CIO and Lead Portfolio Manager of Global Emerging Markets as well as India Equity at the time of his departure.
Prashant started his professional investing career in 1998 at State Street Global Advisors in Boston, USA. He joined GSAM in 2000, and rose to become Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee of the US Growth Equity team. Jonathan Grabel
CIO, LACERA
Jonathan Grabel is the CIO for the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA). Mr. Grabel manages a $85 billion defined benefit pension fund on behalf of LACERA’s 194,000 active and retired members. He also oversees the investments for the LACERA-administered $5 billion healthcare benefits program.
Prior to LACERA, Mr. Grabel was the CIO for New Mexico PERA, where he oversaw the investments for the agency’s $15 billion defined benefit fund and the associated PERA SmartSave deferred compensation plan. Previously, he was a general partner at a private equity firm focused on growth-stage investments in technology, networking industries, and digital communications. Hester Cai

Hester Cai serves as a Portfolio Director for TMRS with a focus on private credit. Mike Fang
Senior Portfolio Manager, Maryland State Retirement System
Mike Fang is senior portfolio manager at the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (MSRPS), where he oversees more than $18 billion across public and private credit, derivatives, and commodities. He co-leads the system’s thematic investment team and manages portfolio construction across core fixed income, opportunistic credit, private credit, and portable alpha overlays. His mandate also includes co-investments, impact investing, and macro strategy.
Fang joined MSRPS in 2019 after serving as senior fund manager at MissionSquare Retirement, where he led the development and launch of the firm’s first defined contribution alternative assets fund and managed over $10 billion in target-date and multi-asset portfolios. His earlier experience includes investment strategist roles at T. Rowe Price and structured finance consulting at Kaufman Hall.
He was also an advisor to several startups in the healthcare, fintech and ESG sectors and has been actively involved in academic initiatives through Yale University, where he earned his MBA. Fang also holds an M.S. in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago and brings over 15 years of experience in manager due diligence, macro investing, and portfolio innovation across asset classes.

Miguel Silva
Associate Investment Manager, CalPERS
Miguel Silva is an Associate Investment Manager at CalPERS, where he leads strategy and engagement for the System’s emerging manager platforms across private markets. Based within the Sustainable Investment team, Miguel focuses on identifying next-generation investment management talent and oversees emerging manager strategies in Private Equity, including GCM DEM, GCM Elevate, and TPG Next funds. He also serves as a liaison between the Investment Office and external managers, stakeholders, and advocacy groups.
Miguel began his investment career in 2002, later serving as an Associate Director with Marcus & Millichap Investment Services, where he raised capital and syndicated multiple real estate partnerships. He transitioned into financial services in 2010 before joining CalPERS in 2013.

Tony J. Lee

Tony joined Leading Edge Investment Advisors in April 2023. His focus is on portfolio management and manager research. He uses his experience to provide recommendations that serve client objectives. Tony is a member of the Investment Committee and client team.
Tony served as Senior Vice President at Bivium Capital Management where he created the Fixed Income product and managed the underlying portfolios. This accounted for approximately $1 billion in total assets for the firm. He led the firm’s efforts in capital markets research and economic insights. Tony worked with Progress Investment Management Company as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager. He was responsible for managing all fixed income products as well as select equity and multi-asset class portfolios. Tony directed manager sourcing, portfolio construction, and allocation. Kim Lew
CEO, Columbia Investment Management Company
Kim Y. Lew is CEO of Columbia Investment Management Company which manages the endowment of Columbia University in the city of New York. Previously, she was the CIO of Carnegie Corporation of New York, the private grant making foundation founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1911 which she joined from the Ford Foundation. Lew started her career in the middle market banking group of Chemical Bank and following business school joined Prudential Capital Group.
Lew graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S in Economics and from the Harvard Graduate School of Business with an MBA. She is a CFA charterholder and has served as both a standard setter and grader.
Lew was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Institutional Investor and has been on the CIO Power 100 list since 2018.

Brian O'Neil
Interim CIO, The Wallace Foundation
Brian O’Neil joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as Chief Investment Officer in January 2003, and retired in March 2023. In that role, he was responsible for management of the Foundation’s $13 billion investment portfolio, and the 15 person investment team.
O’Neil worked at the Equitable Life Assurance Society from 1980 to 2002. He was named Chief Investment Officer in 1992, at the time the company demutualized and went public. In this role he was responsible for Equitable’s general account investment portfolio, as well as relationships with ratings agencies and investors. In 1995, he moved to AXA’s headquarters in Paris, where we was global head of Asset/Liability Management and, in 1997, was named Chief Investment Officer of AXA Investment Managers Paris. On his return to Equitable, he became head of the Variable Life and Annuity Funds Management business.
O’Neil is a trustee of the Brooklyn Public Library System. He received an MBA from the Columbia Graduate School of Business, and an AB from Princeton University. He received the CFA designation in 1983. Since July 2025, Brian is the interim CIO of the Wallace Foundation.
O’Neil lives in Brooklyn, is married, and has four children.

Richard Fontaine
Chief Executive Officer, Center for a New American Security (CNAS)
Richard Fontaine is the chief executive officer of the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). He served as president of CNAS from 2012–19 and as senior fellow from 2009–12. Prior to CNAS, he was foreign policy advisor to Senator John McCain and worked at the State Department, the National Security Council (NSC), and on the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Fontaine served as foreign policy advisor to the McCain 2008 presidential campaign and subsequently as the minority deputy staff director on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Prior to that, he served as associate director for Near Eastern affairs at the NSC from 2003–04. He also worked on Southeast Asian issues in the NSC’s Asian Affairs directorate.
At the State Department, Fontaine worked for the deputy secretary and in the department’s South Asia bureau. Fontaine began his foreign policy career as a staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, focusing on the Middle East and South Asia. He also spent a year teaching English in Japan.
Fontaine currently serves as executive director of the Trilateral Commission and was a member of the Defense Policy Board from 2021 to 2025. He has been an adjunct professor in the security studies program at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
A native of New Orleans, Fontaine graduated summa cum laude with a BA in international relations from Tulane University. Nicola Goll

Nicola Goll is the Head of Americas as well as a Senior Portfolio Manager for Private Equity of the newly formed Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) division which went live in January 2025. In her role, Nicola is responsible for and oversees Private Equity research, origination and investment selection across the Americas region on behalf of UBS’ Asset Management and Wealth Management clients and acts as portfolio manager for separate accounts. Michael Lombardi

He joined 400CM from Banc of America Securities where he was the Head of ABS Credit Trading, responsible for a team of traders and quantitative analysts committing capital in private label residential mortgage backed securities, credit derivatives, whole loans and residuals. During his fourteen-year tenure at BAS, Alex also spent time in London developing the firm’s expertise in dollar and non-dollar denominated ABS as Head of European ABS trading and syndicate. Prior to London, Alex’s trading responsibilities included Head of Structured Finance, Collateralized Debt Obligations (“CDOs”) trading and syndicate, Agency Collateralized Mortgage Obligations (“CMOs”) trading and ABS trading. Mina Pacheco Nazemi
Head of Diversified Alternative Equity, Barings
Mina Pacheco Nazemi is the Head of the Diversified Alternative Equity team and serves on the investment committee. She is responsible for originating, underwriting and monitoring GP relationships, direct/co-investments and continuation vehicle opportunities for private equity and real assets. Mina has worked in the industry since 1998 with experience as a general partner and limited partner investor in private markets and focused on underwriting direct/co-investment opportunities. Thomas Kim

Prior to joining Maryland in August 2024, he served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) where he oversaw $106 billion across the pension fund, endowments and trusts. Since 2010, he has served in a variety of roles at TCRS.
Thomas has worked in both a mutual fund group and on the sell-side telecommunication team at Legg Mason. Susan Soh

David Sheng

Tod Trobocco

Tod Trabocco is Head of Private Debt Advisory for StepStone Private Debt (part of StepStone Group), responsible for helping public and private pension plans, insurance companies, endowments and foundations build private credit portfolios through primary fund investments, co-investments and bespoke SMAs and sits on the Private Debt Advisory Investment Committee. He also acts as a product specialist for StepStone Group’s credit interval fund (CRDEX) and business development corporation (SCRED). Prior to joining StepStone Private Debt, Mr. Trabocco served as a consultant and product specialist at Aksia, where he sat on the firm’s credit fund investment committee. Prior to Aksia, he served as Head of Product for ITE Management, a leading transportation leasing fund. Prior that he was Cambridge Associate’s first Head of Private Credit, leading private credit manager research and selection globally and chairing that firm’s Credit Investment Committee. Tina Surh

Debora Green
Investment Officer, CalSTRS
Debora Green is an Investment Officer in the Fixed Income Private Credit team at California State Teachers’ Retirement System (“CalSTRS”). She has been integral in the buildout and management of CalSTRS’ Direct Lending portfolio, which has a 2% target allocation of the total fund. She supports the sourcing and underwriting efforts for direct lending strategies across North America and Europe. Sandor Hau

Michael S. Chae

Michael S. Chae is Vice Chairman and the Chief Financial Officer of Blackstone. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and investment committees across most of the firm’s businesses. Sumit Rajpal

Sumit Rajpal is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GrowthCurve Capital. GrowthCurve is a control-oriented middle-market private equity firm that invests in data-rich businesses across technology, healthcare, and financial services. Our differentiated approach centers on harnessing the power of operational data, by applying advanced capabilities in AI, digital transformation, and human capital, to accelerate growth and create sustainable value within our portfolio companies.
Prior to founding GrowthCurve, Sumit had a 20-year career at Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently the Global Co-Head of the Merchant Banking Division (MBD) and the Global Co-Head of the Corporate Equity investing businesses. Sumit also served as the Co-CIO of Goldman Sachs’s flagship private equity funds, including West Street Capital Partners VII. Prior to that, he was head of Goldman Sachs MBD’s global Financial and Information Services investing business and also led the initial build-out of Goldman Sachs’s digital consumer platform, Marcus by Goldman Sachs. He was named partner in 2010.
After he retired from Goldman Sachs in early 2020, Sumit served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the SEC Chairman on market areas impacted by COVID-19, including co-authoring a report on US Credit Market inter-connectedness.
Sumit earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Bombay, India, a postgraduate Management Accountant Certification (Grad. CWA), and a postgraduate in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

Tianhao Wu
Managing Director, Northwestern University Investment Office
Tianhao Wu is Managing Director at Northwestern University Investment Office, responsible for all aspects of managing the $15 billion endowment, with a particular focus on growth and innovation aspects of the portfolio. Tianhao joined Northwestern in 2021 from The Rockefeller University, where he was Senior Director leading asset allocation and manager selection across public equities, hedge funds and Asia-focused investments. Earlier in his career, Tianhao served as a research analyst at an investment consulting firm, where he advised institutional clients on alternative investment strategies.
Tianhao received his Master’s degree from Cornell University and dual Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Michigan and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Tianhao is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charterholder.

Ning Wang
Director of Investments, American Chemical Society
Ning Wang is the Director of Investments at the American Chemical Society, where she manages the Investment Pools and Pensions across all asset classes. She joined the firm in 2023 and is based in Washington, DC.
Before her current role, Ms. Wang served as a Portfolio Manager at the World Bank Pension, managing Public Equity and Private Credit portfolios for six years. She also has experience as a quantitative researcher in Fixed Income and Currency strategies at State Street Global Advisors.
Ms. Wang holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management and is a CFA® charterholder.

Bin Shi
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Research, Acadian Asset Management
Bin Shi is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Acadian Asset Management, where he is responsible for systematic equity research and portfolio management across both developed and emerging markets. With nearly 20 years of experience, he plays a key role in advancing Acadian’s data-driven investment process by integrating quantitative analysis and machine learning techniques.
Prior to joining Acadian in 2006, Bin worked at MathWorks, where he developed machine learning algorithms for MATLAB’s financial and statistical toolboxes—experience that continues to inform his investment approach.
He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Southeast University in China. Bin is also a CFA charterholder.

Jim Park
CEO, AAAIM
As the CEO of AAAIM, Jim has the day to day oversight of the organization’s key initiatives and works closely with AAAIM’s board to deliver on the critical mission of the association. Prior to joining AAAIM, Jim joins the organization with a wide ranging experience as an entrepreneur, corporate executive, government official and nonprofit advocate. He has spent many years supporting issues around AAPI empowerment, consumer protection and leadership development. Jim currently serves on various national boards and advisory councils for several AAPI focused entities including Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), Leaders Forum (LF), Prosperity Now, Smithsonia SITES board, and Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS).
Jim brings extensive corporate and business experience, including a VC Fund, to AAAIM. He has founded and served as CEO of several companies including the Mortgage Collaborative and New Vista Asset Management, and served as an executive at Freddie Mac. Additionally, Jim has significant policy experience in Washington, DC, as an advocate for issues affecting AAPI community for several decades. His work in DC also included serving as a political appointee at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and chairing the Federal Reserve’s Consumer Advisory Council.

Bill Park
Chief Investment Officer, Altisma Capital Management, LLC
Bill Park is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Altisma Capital Management, an investment manager dedicated to multi-strategy alpha extension. Bill’s vision for Altisma’s innovative solution stems from his 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, trader, portfolio manager, allocator and risk manager. Prior to founding Altisma in 2024, Bill was the inaugural Head of Equity Risk at ExodusPoint, which he joined in 2019 to build a global team to risk manage ExodusPoint’s equity and systematic strategies. Bill designed many of ExodusPoint’s equity risk processes and worked closely with Equity Management on investments.
Previously, Bill was Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Strategies and Risk at UBS Hedge Fund Solutions. Bill was a member of all HFS senior management committees while leading a global risk team to develop internal quantitative capabilities. Bill also led HFS quantitative investments and launched the liquid alternatives business.
In 2003, Bill founded Aviator Fund Management as the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, where he managed $500M AuM in global and Asia-focused multi-strategy hedge funds. Prior to that, Bill was a Portfolio Manager for HBK’s Asian Equities business unit and the founding Managing Director of HBK Japan, where he assembled and managed a pan-Asian multi-strategy team.
Bill started his career in 1993 at O’Connor & Associates as an Equity Options Senior Trader after earning his S.B. from the department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).

Sandy Li

Sandy Li began her career as an investment banker for Morgan Stanley where she worked in London, Hong Kong, and Houston across Financial Institutions Capital Markets, General Industrials Corporate Finance, and Energy Mergers and Acquisitions. In 2005 she joined the global executive search firm CTPartners in New York and relocated to Los Angeles in 2008 to build and lead the West Coast Financial Services Practice, partnering with clients such as JPMorgan, Charles Schwab, and TPG. In 2014, she launched her own independent executive coaching and recruiting practice. She recruits and coaches C-Suite and board level talent across financial services, global corporations, consulting, nonprofit organizations, venture capital and social impact investing. Sandy Li graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She served as an Executive in Residence at UCLA Anderson School of Management from 2015 to 2018. Pui Ee Lai
Chief Representative, New York Representative Office, Monetary Authority of Singapore
Pui Ee is Chief Representative of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) New York Office, where she spearheads strategic engagements with the international financial community across North America. Prior to this appointment, she led the development of Singapore’s asset management sector through policy innovation, industry partnerships, and ecosystem-building initiatives.
Pui Ee began her career at MAS as a financial services regulator, where she was responsible for the supervision and inspection of capital markets intermediaries. She was also seconded to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in New York, participating in broker-dealer examinations from 2016-2017.

Sarah Kong
Managing Director, Residential Credit, Pretium
Sarah Kong is a Managing Director in Residential Credit at Pretium, where she is responsible for mortgage whole loan trading. Prior to joining Pretium in 2021, Sarah was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where she traded and managed multiple mortgage whole loan products. Previously, she worked at Fannie Mae in the mortgage credit and pricing areas. Sarah received a Bachelor’s in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.

Soo Kim
Partner, Research, Anchorage Capital Group, L.L.C.
Soo is Global Head of Performing Credit Research and is responsible for leading the research process across performing credit and the CLO & CBO platform. She is Co-Chair of the U.S. Performing Credit Investment Committee and the Research Review Committee, a voting member of the European Performing Credit Investment Committee and the ACO Investment Committee, and a member of the ESG Committee and the GIPS Committee. Soo is also Co-Portfolio Manager of the Anchorage Multi-Asset Credit Fund. She joined Anchorage Capital Group, L.L.C. as a Senior Analyst in April 2009 and is based in the New York office. Prior to joining, she worked at Goldman Sachs most recently as a Vice President and one of six industry heads in the Americas Special Situations group. Prior to this role, she was a member of the Investment team in the Distressed Debt Principal Investing group. Soo has a total of 24 years of experience in the financial services industry and received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she was a Tau Beta Pi scholar.

Brenda Chia
Co-Chair, Executive Committee of the Board, AAAIM, Chief of Capital Development, Paladin Capital Group
Brenda Chia is the Chief of Capital Development at Paladin Capital Group, joining the firm in 2012. She serves on the Management Team and focuses on capitalizing on growth opportunities and developing multi-faceted investor and partner relationships for deal sourcing, co-investments and exits. Brenda led the raise of the Paladin’s largest fund, the $372M Cyber Fund II which closed in May 2022, while building strategic relationships with top-tier corporations and investors to diversify Paladin’s geographic opportunities.
One of Brenda’s career highlights has been advocating for opportunities for women and minority investors. She has testified before Congress on improving participation of women and minority-owned funds in the investment industry. She is the current Board Co-Chair of The Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), which convenes institutional capital and qualified Asian-American investors across asset classes to conduct business and build alliances. Since 2007, as the founding President, she has led AAAIM to national prominence as a DEI advocate by setting the pace, vision and fundraising for the next phase of growth, building on the network of 5,000 asset owners and managers.
Brenda has broad U.S. and international experience developing and executing business, marketing, and operational strategies for emerging and established companies. She has served as a case leader with The Boston Consulting Group and a project manager for Accenture in Asia and the U.S. Brenda has worked in Singapore, London, and Jakarta.
Brenda holds a B.S. degree in computer science, graduating at the top of her year with first class honors from National University of Singapore, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Bahasa Indonesia.

Habiba Waziruddin

Steve Moseley

Steve Moseley is a Managing Director at Wafra, a New York-based manager of $32 billion of alternative assets. At Wafra, Steve oversees a new, $1 billion co-investment platform called Covalent and, among other activities, continues to be involved with Capital Constellation, a private markets seeding platform, managed by Wafra, that he co-founded. Before joining Wafra in July 2022, he was Deputy CIO and Head of Private Markets and Alternative Investments for the US$80 billion Alaska Permanent Fund, a sovereign endowment formed in 1980 to provide for all current and future generations of Alaskans. Before joining APFC Steve restructured and sold Marston-Ross Corporation, a Connecticut-based family investment office. Before that he was president of StepStone Group, a global manager of diversified private market assets and, prior to that, co-president of the direct investment division of StepStone’s predecessor company, Pacific Corporate Group.

York Lo

York Lo is Head of Global Alternative Product Management at Manulife John Hancock Investments where he has been a key member of the team responsible for manager selection and oversight and product development and management for global fund platforms with AUM in excess of US$200 billion. Over the past 17 years at Hancock, he has launched products across structure types (mutual funds, interval/tender offer funds, ETFs, CITs, UCITs, LPs), asset classes (equities, fixed income, liquid and illiquid alts) and styles which contributed significantly to the firm’s growth. At Hancock, he is also the founding co-chair of its Asian American ERG, PACES US and has served as a mentor to the firm’s MLK Summer Scholars. Prior to joining Hancock, he has 10 years of experience in the asset management industry in the US and Asia working for firms such as UBS and Putnam Investments in business development and research roles. He has been Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst since 2004 and received his MBA from MIT Sloan and BSBA from Boston University Questrom School of Business. Sanjiv Shah
Co-Chair, Executive Committee of the Board, AAAIM
Sanjiv Shah has been actively involved with AAAIM since its founding in 2006 and has been a long-standing member of its executive committee, as well as co-chair of the AAAIM board.
Sanjiv was formerly a Managing Director at HarbourVest Partners for nine years. At HarbourVest, he was a key member of the firm’s Primary Investment Team, leading its emerging, diverse, and micro-buyout investment strategy. During his time at HarbourVest, he led over $2.6 billion in primary investment commitments and often with General Partners who were new to HarbourVest. Sanjiv has developed meaningful relationships with both Limited and General Partners in private equity and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He also sourced over 450 investment opportunities for HarbourVest’s co-investment, credit, and secondary strategies which resulted in another $2 billion of investment across several dozen investments. Sanjiv was a founding member of HarbourVest’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and a mentor to many of the junior/mid-level investment professionals on the Primary Team. He was also one of the firm’s most active and accessible investment professionals, as Sanjiv sat on 82 Limited Partner Advisory Committees and was the lead coverage officer for nearly 1,300 funds in market during his time at HarbourVest.
Sanjiv joined HarbourVest in 2016 as part of its acquisition of the BAML Capital Access Funds business, which he co-founded in 2002. He joined Bank of America in 1994 and was instrumental in growing its portfolio of community development equity investments, including the formation of the group’s fund-of-funds investment programs. Sanjiv was previously one of the youngest individuals to be promoted to the Managing Director level within Bank of America’s Principal Investing division. He was profiled in the India Tribune as a successful, young professional from the Indian-American community, was formerly an executive sponsor of the bank’s Asian Leadership Network (Chicago), and a business mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women’s mentoring women in business program.
He received a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Sanjiv is a Registered Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.

Rebecca Chia
Head of Global Partnerships, Avala Global
Rebecca is the Head of Capital Partnerships at Avala Global. Rebecca was previously the Head of Business Development and Investor Relations at Atalaya Capital Management, an asset-based private credit and special opportunities investment firm that was acquired by Blue Owl Capital in 2024. During her tenure at Atalaya, she spearheaded the firm’s capital formation and product development efforts, in addition to overseeing investor and public relations. Prior to her role at Atalaya, Rebecca served as the Head of Marketing at Third Point. Before that, she spent nearly a decade at Davidson Kempner Capital Management, where she was the Head of Asia-Pacific Sales and Client Service. Rebecca began her career as a TMT investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers. Rebecca holds a B.S. in Economics and Journalism from Northwestern University, is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and leads the New York Chapter for the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM).

Phoebe Kuan
Director of Investments, Montgomery County Public Schools
Phoebe Kuan serves as the Director of Investments for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland. Ms. Kuan leads all aspects of the investment program for MCPS pension plan, and oversees the two defined contribution plans sponsored by MCPS.
Prior to joining MCPS, Ms. Kuan was a Senior Vice President at 57 Stars, LLC based in Washington D.C., where she was responsible for sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and monitoring of investments in private equity partnerships and co-investments across the target global markets. Previously, Ms. Kuan was the Financial Controller at DT Capital Partners, overseeing the venture fund administration and portfolio management. Ms. Kuan started her career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Katie Moore

Katie Moore is a Managing Director on the Fund investment & Managed Solutions team, leading several of the firm’s institutional client relationships and initiatives as well as overseeing the Small & Emerging Manager Investment programs. Katie also serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and Responsible Investment Committee.
Katie began her career with Hamilton Lane in 2007 and was previously a Senior Relationship Manager as well as a Vice President on the Primary investment team. In addition, Katie founded and co-chaired the firm’s DE&I Council for many years. Katie started her career as a Financial Analyst at Murray Devine & Co.

Yelin Wen

Yelin Wen joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in February 2016. Yelin’s primary responsibility is to source, evaluate and recommend potential new buyout, venture, real estate, energy managers in the illiquid space and conduct thorough investment due diligence including analysis of investment strategy, process, organization and portfolio positions and performance.
Previously, Yelin was a vice president with the J.P. Morgan Asia NY Investor team. In this role she executed brokerage trades, developed investment ideas and recommendations, and explored private equity opportunities for investors.
Yelin earned BA degrees in both economics and mathematics from the University of Virginia and received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in September 2011.

Jasmine Richards

Jasmine Richards is the Head of Diverse Manager Investing and a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates.
Jasmine joined the firm in 2018 and has more than 15 years of both buy and sell investment experience. She leads the firm’s ongoing initiative to identify and research institutional-quality investment managers in all public and private asset classes that have underrepresented owners or leaders, including women and people of color.
Jasmine is a frequent speaker at client and industry events. She also regularly contributes to diverse manager thought leadership, partnering with industry organizations such as the Intentional Endowments Network and Confluence Philanthropy.

Linda Luu
Managing Director, Blackstone Group
Linda Luu is a Managing Director in Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BXMA). Prior to joining Blackstone in 2018, Ms. Luu was involved in manager evaluation, selection and monitoring across investment strategies at PAAMCO. She began her career in the investment banking department of Credit Suisse.

Candice N. Tse
Managing Director, Goldman Sachs
Candice is a managing director in the Client Solutions Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and serves as global head of the Strategic Advisory Solutions team. She focuses on global capital market research, macroeconomic strategy and client engagement. In addition, Candice developed the firm’s EMPOWER the Investor framework, which guides Asian, Black, female, Hispanic/Latinx and LGBTQ+ investors toward greater financial success. She also serves as head of the New York and Jersey City chapter of the Asian Network. Prior to assuming her current role, Candice served as US head of Market Strategy and held positions in Fundamental Equity Product Management, Institutional Sales and Portfolio Administration. She joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 1998 and was named managing director in 2019. Candice is a founding board member of the Rutgers Business School’s Center for Women in Business and is a board member of the Rutgers Business School Dean’s Board of Advisors. She is also a board member for Junior Achievement of New York. In 2021, she was named to the HERoes Role Model List, as a Top 100 Future Leader for her efforts in championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace.

Kelli P. Washington
Chief Investment Officer, The California Endowment
Kelli P. Washington joined The California Endowment as its Chief Investment Officer in late 2024. As CIO, she manages the foundation’s $4 billion endowment, investment portfolio, and investment staff. Before joining The Endowment, Kelli served as the Managing Director of Investment Strategy and Research at the Cleveland Clinic. In that role, which she held since 2017, she was primarily responsible for monitoring portfolio asset allocation policies, maintaining the macroeconomic research function, and collaborating with the CIO on research that directs tactical asset allocation, investment decisions, and hedging strategies for approximately $15.0 billion in assets across four investment pools. Kelli has also served as Managing Director of Investments with Cambridge Associates, an endowment officer at Bowdoin College, and in multiple investing roles with Edward Jones in St. Louis. Kelli is a Board Member of the Washington University (in St. Louis) Investment Management Company and the Robert Toigo Foundation. Amy Chen
CIO, Smithsonian Institute
Amy Chen became the first chief investment officer at the Smithsonian Institution in 2006 with the establishment of the Institution’s first Office of Investments. She leads a team who are responsible for the overall oversight, investment strategy and management of the institution’s $2.7 billion endowment.
Prior to the Smithsonian, Amy helped to build the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation’s portfolio from scratch in 1998 as the portfolio manager. Ms. Chen holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and an MBA from the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University. Prior to the endowment and foundation posts, she worked at a contemporary art museum and a NYC hedge fund.
She is the Chair of American University’s Investment Committee and is a member of the Henry Luce Foundation’s Investment Committee. She is an honorary trustee at Oberlin College, having served as the Co-Chair of the Investment Committee and as a member of the Board of Trustees. Jessie Choi is Head of Risk Mitigation Strategies at New Jersey’s Division of Investment, overseeing its $3 billion Hedge Fund program and managing private equity debt-related funds. Sonam Dorji

Sonam Leki Dorji is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager on the Income Strategies team for Fixed Income, where she focuses on managing multi-sector portfolios that generate efficient income. Prior to her current role, Leki Dorji led AB’s Fixed Income Applied Quantitative Research team, where she helped integrate quantitative research/solutions into portfolio construction. She joined AB in 2012 as a fixed-income quantitative analyst, where she developed interest-rate models and worked on multi-sector asset allocation solutions. Prior to AB, Leki Dorji was a US rates strategist at Credit Suisse from 2008 to 2012, where she focused on the short-term and basis markets. Chung Ma
Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Virginia Retirement System
Chung Ma is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer and the Head of Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG) at the Virginia Retirement System (VRS). He is responsible for Total Fund management, including asset allocation, risk management, portfolio strategy, treasury, and research. He also oversees the Diversifying Strategies program and the opportunistic portfolio.
Mr. Ma is a member of the VRS Investment’s Executive and Management Committees, overseeing all investment department activities. He joined VRS in 2013 after serving as a Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein and previously managed Financial Services engagements at Accenture.
Outside his role at VRS, Mr. Ma is the Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Richmond Retirement System. Fernando Vinzons
Chief Investment Officer, Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund
Fernando Vinzons has over 20 years of investment and financial market expertise, with three years as the Chief Investment Officer at Chicago Teachers Pension Fund, four years as Director of Investments and 10 years as a senior member of the Cook County Pension Fund investment team.
As one of two members of the first investment team ever hired by the Cook County Pension Fund, he was responsible for the growth of an under-funded pension portfolio (from a trough of $5.2 to a peak of $14.1 billion) and improved peer ranking (from 65th to 28th percentile). He has also guided the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund from a low of $10.6 billion in late 2022 to peak AUM of $14.7 billion (and growing) through August 2025. For FY2025, CTPF ranked in the 18th percentile among its large public pension plan peers with a gross return of 12.06%.
Prior to public pension plan investing, Fernando spent five years as a buy-side investment analyst at Driehaus Capital Management, covering domestic consumer discretionary, consumer staples, healthcare, industrials and utilities.
